Dive into the deep blue and uncover the mysteries of the ocean! In this class, learners will embark on an exciting journey through the four core areas of oceanography: physical, geological, chemical, and biological. We’ll dive into the different ecosystems that make up the ocean, from vibrant coral reefs to the deep, dark abyss. Along the way, we’ll meet amazing sea creatures, from the tiniest plankton to the most massive whales, and discover how they thrive in their underwater worlds. We'll also explore thought-provoking questions like, “What would happen if the oceans dried up?” as we uncover the vital role oceans play in our planet’s health. Along with these incredible lessons, we’ll also focus on becoming environmental stewards by discussing ways we can all reduce threats to our oceans—whether we’re on the coast or here in Colorado!
