Talent Development and Management (Leadership Certificate)

« back to classes page
Talent is a nonprofit’s greatest asset. Many nonprofit professionals find themselves in a human resources capacity, officially recruiting, hiring, and on-boarding new staff, conducting performance evaluations, and negotiating salaries and benefits. Other nonprofit professionals find themselves managing, supporting and working collaboratively with the other staff and volunteers in their organization. Whether your team is made up of paid staff members and/or unpaid staff members (volunteers), skills in building a team, collaborating respectfully, and communicating clearly will strengthen your ability to successfully bring your mission to life.
Please note the following in-person classes vs. virtual classes schedule below:
October 17 in person
October 24 virtual
October 31 virtual (alternative day of the week will be discussed with the class)
November 7 in person
November 14 in person
November 21 in person
November 28 virtual
December 5 in person
Both the weeks of Halloween and Thanksgiving are virtual weeks because of those holidays. Virtual weeks simply mean that there will be an assignment and discussion to complete that week but it will be self paced and can happen at any point in the week, not necessarily on the Thursday.
Students will meet in-person on the Aims Loveland Campus and also complete online coursework through D2L. Login information for D2L will be emailed to students 3-5 days prior to the start of the class.
This class is part of the NLA Leadership Certificate.
