Now that you know your camera, let’s focus on photography as your chosen artistic medium! This course explores elements of photography like color, line, shape, composition and more to create more artistically impactful imagery with the camera. Suitable for photographers interested in landscape, portrait, wildlife, abstract, and more.

Students will receive professional feedback on their work and learn how to push their specific style to the next level. This course has a heavy focus on fine art.

Prerequisite: basic knowledge of photography and your camera (adjusting aperture, shutter speed, ISO, etc) or completion of Basics of Photography: Get to Know Your Camera.

Interchangeable lens camera required, so you can receive the most out of this course – DSLR or Mirrorless variations OK. Storage media for camera, photos required. Computers with Lightroom provided by Aims lab, home laptop/computer to bring fine as well.
