Navigating End of Life Conversations and Care
ID :
16669
« back to classes page
Join a diverse community of adults in discussing crucial subjects like navigating care choices, initiating sensitive conversations with loved ones, establishing plans and advanced directives, taking on roles as caregivers and companions, and finding meaning through reflective life review. By demystifying the practical, emotional, and existential challenges that arise at the end of life, this workshop empowers participants with confidence and clear understanding of their own goals and desires.
Participants will leave with:
A greater appreciation for and understanding of the practical, emotional, and existential issues that arise in the end of life.
A better understanding of the care that is available and when/how to seek it out: what to ask and what to share with various providers.
An understanding of the differences and similarities between palliative care and hospice care as well as about current trends shaping the way they are offered in our health care system.
Clarity about personal values and goals related to the end of life.
More confidence about hosting essential conversations with honesty and empathy.
