Basic Sign Language I (ASL)

Gain the basic knowledge of communicating with the deaf community in this full-semester course. Students will develop basic vocabulary and conversational skills and will be introduced to aspects of the deaf culture and community.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This class is being offered to both credit and non-credit students. All students will follow the same curriculum and complete the same projects. Attendance is essential not only to the learning environment but for the community of the classroom experience for all students.

The American Sign Language Conversation booklet (ISBN ISBN 13 : 9781423228554) is recommended.
