Reactive dogs become overly aroused by common stimuli. They may lunge, bark, jump, growl, and may become so preoccupied with whatever is triggering the emotion that they can be difficult to control. This class will dive deep into how emotions drive this behavior and explore strategies to modify it.

Common reactive behaviors include lunging, jumping, biting, spinning, barking, growling, or screaming on or off leash. The first week of this class will educate about these behaviors and how to support self-regulation. The second week will explore specific training cues to help direct the dog when they cannot do it themselves.

This is an informational workshop for dog owners and professionals. No dogs allowed.
