AM - Jr. First Responder

Do you want to learn about saving lives, being a firefighter, emergency medical services (EMS) or law enforcement? In this fun, interactive and educational course, students will learn from professionals who work and train as first responders in our own communities. Held in the Public Service Institute at Aims Community College, students will play games, do crafts and see live training in-action at our state of the art training grounds. Students will also focus on the skills necessary to become a first responder, such as critical thinking, leadership and teamwork. With visits from the local Fire and Police departments, students will be able to explore the many career options held within these fields.
