In this course students will learn and gain basic life skills that they can use in their individual environments as they begin to become more independent in their every day lives. Basic skills covered in this course may include but are not limited to: cooking, first aid, personal safety, clothe mending, budgets, unplugged entertainment, and navigation. This class will give each student the opportunity to discover simple ways that they can start to become more self-reliant. At the end of the week, each student will take home a kit with an assortment of materials to go with the above mentioned skills.
