Are you interested in learning basic welding techniques for that home or work project?  In this class, you will learn basic welding with a TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) Welder, which is suitable for an array of projects including welding wagons, bike frames, lawnmowers, door handles, fenders, and more. Along with learning techniques, you will learn safety protocols, safety equipment (which will be provided), and the theory and process of welding. The first two scheduled hours will be spent in the classroom for a lecture on safety and the technique of welding.  Students will then schedule another two hours with the instructor for one on one instruction with the welder for hands-on training. (Included in the cost of the class).

Topical Outline – These topics will be covered in class, but not necessarily in this order:
  • Safety protocols and procedures
  • Science and technology of welding
  • Techniques and process for welding
  • Machine set-up of a TIG welder
  • 2 hours of time with the instructor to watch and practice welding
