Introduction to Japanese History and Mythology (Online)

This course will do two different things. First, it will give a basic overview of the history of the Japanese archipelago from the migration of people to the archipelago to the Edo Period. Second, it will discuss the many mythologies that exist throughout the Japanese culture, ranging from the mythical origin story to discussions about Himiko to the very strong idea the Japanese Culture was the one true culture determined by the gods.
