Curious about high paying jobs in the Construction Industry? This focused two-week Construction Introduction Workshop will provide you with basic construction related knowledge and the confidence needed to enter into the many opportunities immediately available in the Construction Industry.
 
Week 1 - Basic Core: Introduction to Craft Skills
Classroom instruction will cover: Basic Safety; Introduction to Construction Math; Communication; Employability Skills and Materials Handling. You will have the opportunity to learn Basic Rigging, as well as how to safely handle skilled trade tools in the Lab portion of this class. All safety equipment will be provided, along with both hand & power tools, for you to experience ‘Hands on Use’ of basic trade tools.

Week 2 - Equipment Orientation / Grades & Staking
Classroom instruction will cover: Orientation to the Trade; Heavy Equipment Safety; Identification of Heavy Equipment; Basic Operational Techniques; Reading and Interpreting Grade Stakes; etc. Upon satisfactory completion, Attendees will earn Certificates in each class. Certificates are valuable to include with resume’ when making application to Colorado Construction Companies as well as support Industries. A list of HR contacts for member companies will be included with each certification.
