CourseGraphic This is the down payment portal for the Recovery Professional Program. You will not be registered for the full program until your $250 payment is made in this portal. Payment is due no later than September 8 for the September 9 class.

Temporary Payment Plan:
$250 down payment
$275 per month for Sept, Oct, Nov, and Dec. Due by the 15th of each month. You will not receive your certificate of completion for the course until all payments are made.

In September, Continuing Education plans to switch to a Nelnet payment system. If you set up a payment plan through this portal, you will be transferred into the Nelnet system and provided more information about payment deadlines and costs.

Start a new career as a Recovery Professional and remove barriers and obstacles to recovery for people seeking or already in recovery from addiction to alcohol and/or other drugs. This full program will prepare you to attain a CCAAR Certificate to start a career as a Recovery Coach.

The Recovery Professional Program includes the following courses:
  • Introduction to Recovery Professional
  • CCAR Recovery Academy Course
  • CCAR Ethical Considerations for Recovery Coaches
  • CCAR Spirituality for Recovery Coaches
Upon completion of this program, follow these steps to receive your Recovery Coach Professional designation:
  • Apply online, pay the $150 fee (paid by student) and upload your certificates to the CCAR website
  • Within 48 business hours, CCAR will contact you to schedule a panel interview
  • Once you pass the 3-part panel interview, you’ll be awarded the CCAR Recovery Coach Professional designation, be listed on the CCAR website, and become part of the RCP CCAR network
You don’t have to wait for the designation to start finding work, but some businesses require it for companion/coaching jobs.

This class includes access to D2L, an online learning management system. Students will receive access to this system 1-2 business days prior to the start of class.

Note about Fall 2025 Schedule:
This class meets in a hybrid learning modality. The class will meet in-person on September 9 then begin a two-week rotation of remote/in-person meetings. The classroom will be available for students to attend class, even during remote days. See instructor for specific schedule details.
