This comprehensive 3D Concrete Printing (3DCP) full series provides you access to the fully online Introduction to 3D Concrete Printing, as well as the hands-on course that will take place in-person, at the Greeley campus from July 29th-31st.
These courses provide an in-depth understanding of the essential processes, equipment, and techniques required for successful 3D Concrete Printing. Combining lectures, hands-on assembly, and live demonstrations, this series will equip participants with the knowledge and skills to operate, troubleshoot, and optimize 3DCP systems.
Introduction to 3D Concrete Printing (Online course, must be completed before hands-on course)
This fully online, four-unit course will provide you with essential knowledge about 3D printing technology and carbon-neutral material processes vital to a career in this innovative new discipline. The curriculum includes an overview of the history and process, robotics, material science, and design.
About this course:
This class starts the first Monday of every month. Upon registration for this full series, you will be emailed to see when you would like to get started with the Introduction class.
Hands-On Course - Material Science & Coding & Design (July 29-31, In-person, Greeley Campus)
This combined course offers a comprehensive, hands-on education in 3D Concrete Printing (3DCP), uniquely integrating material science with coding and design.
This portion of this course provides an in-depth understanding of the essential processes, equipment, and techniques required for successful concrete printing. Combining lectures, hands-on assembly, and live demonstrations, this course will equip participants with the knowledge and skills to operate, troubleshoot, and optimize 3DCP systems.
*This course will be taught in a setting similar to a construction site. Waterproof shoes that are composite or steal-toed are required. Safety hats, safety glasses and vests will be provided. Students should expect to get dirty.
This portion of this course bridges the gap between digital design and robotic execution, providing participants with essential skills in 2D sketching, robotic manipulation, and G-code generation for 3D printing. Through a mix of guided instruction, hands-on exercises, and practical demonstrations, students will gain a solid foundation in 3DCP workflows, from initial design to robotic execution.
Students will receive an industry recognized Certificate of Completion upon completion of this entire series.
