CourseGraphic A Recovery Coach promotes recovery and removes barriers and obstacles to recovery. Recovery Coaches serve as a personal guide and mentors for people seeking or already in recovery from addiction to alcohol and/or other drugs. This full program will prepare you to attain a Certificate to start a career as a Recovery Coach.

The Recovery Professional Program includes the following courses:
  • Introduction to Recovery Professional
  • CCAR Recovery Academy Course
  • CCAR Ethical Considerations for Recovery Coaches
  • CCAR Spirituality for Recovery Coaches
Upon completion of this program, follow these steps to receive your Recovery Coach Professional designation:
  • Apply online, pay the $150 fee (paid by student) and upload your certificates to the CCAR website
  • Within 48 business hours, CCAR will contact you to schedule a panel interview
  • Once you pass the 3-part panel interview, you’ll be awarded the CCAR Recovery Coach Professional designation, be listed on the CCAR website, and become part of the RCP CCAR network
You don’t have to wait for the designation to start finding work, but some businesses require it for companion/coaching jobs.
