Start a new career as a Recovery Professional and remove barriers and obstacles to recovery for people seeking or already in recovery from addiction to alcohol and/or other drugs. This program will prepare you to apply for a CCAR designation and supports your education journey toward becoming a recovery coach.

The Recovery Professional Program includes the following courses:
  • Introduction to Recovery Professional
  • CCAR Recovery Academy Course
  • CCAR Ethical Considerations for Recovery Coaches
  • CCAR Spirituality for Recovery Coaches
Upon completion of this program, students will also need to complete the following to pursue their CCAR designation:
  • Apply online, pay the $150 fee (paid by student) and upload your certificates to the CCAR website
  • Within 48 business hours, CCAR will contact you to schedule a panel interview
  • If you pass the 3-part panel interview, you’ll be awarded the CCAR Recovery Coach Professional designation, be listed on the CCAR website, and become part of the RCP CCAR network
You don’t have to wait for the designation to start finding work, but some businesses require it for companion/coaching jobs.

This class includes access to D2L, an online learning management system. Students will receive access to this system 1-2 business days prior to the start of class.
