The Pediatric Heartsaver class is designed with a focus on child and infant lifesaving and first aid skills. The class is geared towards those working in early childhood, daycare, and babysitting settings. It is also important for new parents and those with small children at home. Our instructors are approved vendors for the State of Colorado Department of Early Childhood licensing. Students will learn child and infant CPR, how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and First Aid basics to help prevent illness and injury in life-or-death situations. An optional module for Adult CPR can be included in the class if requested and time allows. There is no age limit, but students must be able to perform successful chest compressions to pass the course, and a parent must accompany a minor throughout the duration of the class if under the age of 16. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive an AHA certification card, valid for two years.
